Happy Spring! Craft Nights Begin and other news…

Bird carved by Mike Loeffler

Here in the North Woods the snow seems a distant memory and the crab apples and lilacs are blooming. It is time to plant the textile garden and put siding on the building.

We are in our second year of running the school and have now hosted six classes this season: Spoon Carving Masterclass with Barn the Spoon and Jarrod Dahl, Backstrap Weaving with Louise Young, Danish Cord Stool with Dawson Moore, Bird Carving with Mike Loeffler, Shibori and Indigo with Jazmin Hicks-Dahl, and Spoon Carving with Jarrod Dahl. Next up is Willow Basketry with Scogin Zimmerman-Mayo.

We met some lovely people from all over; as far as Virginia, Idaho, and Massachusetts, and as close as Madison and Bayfield, WI. Thanks to all the students that made their way here. We look forward to seeing you again.

Do you know someone who might enjoy a class at Woodspirit School? Help us spread the word about our class offerings by telling a friend!

We brought back much inspiration for sharing with others. Check out our trip photos via instagram @loveblueindigo @jarrod__dahl.
