Meet Wesley, Hege & Samson—Community Events at Woodspirit School
Have you ever met a traditional Norwegian basketmaker? We’ll be hosting Hege Aasdal & Samson Øvstebø from Norway at the Craft Night Potluck Instructor Meet & Greet on Thursday, September 4 at 6pm. Hege’s class on Norwegian Vedmeis is sold out, but you can still meet Hege and learn about her work and craft.
We offer these events so that the community can meet our instructors who are interesting, dedicated, and highly skilled craftspeople from all over the world.
New Housing Options for Students
We know that the cost of housing and travel to take a class with us is a big investment. Hotels seem to have doubled their prices and the number of AirBnB’s and VRBO’s in the area are limited. Sadly the closest city campsite doesn’t even take reservations (yet!). We’d like to make it a little easier to afford coming up here so we have compiled a local housing list. These lovely people—local friends of the school—have generously offered their simple and rustic housing at affordable rates for students registered for classes.
