We are collaborating with LeeAra Anglin of Heritage Hill Homestead. This family friendly Harvest Festival will include handmade icecream, dancing, potluck, and visiting farm animals. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves for Flax Linen Processing and try out Natural Dyeing from homegrown dye plants.
1pm Welcome
1:30pm Flax Processing Demonstration
We will be breaking and combing retted home grown flax, then making stricks of linen—bundles of raw fiber for spinning and weaving into cloth.
Bring
a potluck item with ingredients listed
water bottle
your own dishes and cutlery
clothes that can get dirty
a dust mask, gloves
dancing shoes
